Yash Dayal claims his Instagram account was hacked after a controversial post and subsequent apology

The Uttar Pradesh man is best known for making five consecutive sixes in an IPL match with KKR’s Rinku Singh.

A cartoon denigrating a certain community was posted from his Insta account this morning, but it was later removed with an apology.

In the evening, in a statement from the Gujarat Titans PR team, Dayal claimed to have filed a complaint with Instagram management that his official account had been hacked.

Two stories were posted on my Instagram page today – both not mine. I reported this to the authorities because I believe someone else has access to my account and is using it to post. I am trying to regain full control of my Instagram account. I respect all communities and the photo posted today does not reveal my true beliefs, a statement released to the media said.Dayal, who plays in the Ranji Trophy for Uttar Pradesh, also played for India A.
