Odisha Train Tragedy: Virender Sehwag Proposes Free Education for Rail Disaster Victims

A June 2 collision in Balasore, Odisha, between two high-speed passenger trains and a halted freight train killed at least 275 people and injured more than 1,000, according to the latest official figures. The incident may be the deadliest rail disaster in 20 years.

In this hour of grief, the least I can do is care for the education of the children of those who died in this tragic accident. I offer such children a free boarding school education at Sehwag International School, the former India player tweeted.


He added: I also salute all the brave men and women who were on the front lines of rescue operations, as well as the medics and volunteers who volunteered their blood. We’re in this together.
