Judge Jatin Kashyap is charged under the ICC anti-corruption code

Violations arose from the investigation of international matches in 2022, the ICC said in a statement.

Kashyap was accused of refusing and delaying an Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) investigation, in violation of Articles 2.4.6 and 2.4.7.

Article 2.4.6 of the Code – failure or refusal, without good cause, to cooperate with an ACU investigation into possible corrupt conduct under the Code, including (without limitation) failure to provide accurate and complete any information or documentation requested by ACU in such investigation.

Code Article 2.4.7 – Impeding or delaying an ACU investigation into possible Corrupt Conduct under the Code, including withholding, falsifying or destroying any documentation or other information that may be relevant to such an investigation and/or that may be evidence or may lead to the discovery of evidence of Corrupt Conduct under the Code.

The ICC gave Kashyap 14 days from May 19 to respond to the charges.
