‘He’s so good’: Imran Khan believes Babar Azam will outshine Virat Kohli

The similarities between the two are not confined to positive points. Both batsmen are often excused for their below average T20 strikeball. In 104 matches, Azam’s hitting percentage fluctuates around 128.40.

Last year during the Asia Cup, Kohli talked about his relationship with Azam and said, Babar is a very good guy. I always had a good relationship with him. I’m not sure about the kinship, since he’s much younger than me, but the respect is there. There’s always respect.

Then he added: He was always eager to learn. He spoke to me after we played in the 2019 World Cup. I always said he was eager to learn, and it’s no surprise that he plays that way in all formats of the game. He’s obviously a very talented player.
