England’s Ollie Pope out because of a dislocated shoulder

England will not call for a replacement for the Ashes’ third test, which begins Thursday at Headingley.

Australia leads the series 2-0.

Pope aggravated the injury after umpires said he should be out again because he batted in England’s first inning, in which he scored 42 runs.

The 25-year-old dislocated his left shoulder in 2019 and again in 2020.
