BCCI President Roger Binny and Vice President Rajiv Shukla will visit Lahore to participate in the Asia Cup

The Indian team will play all their matches in Sri Lanka and the much awaited India vs Pakistan match will be played in Pallekele on September 2.

The last time the BCCI visited Pakistan was during India’s tour to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2008. However, cricketing ties were cut off after the Mumbai terrorist attack and both teams only participate in multinational tournaments.

India and Pakistan are placed in the same group as Nepal and have a good chance of meeting in the Super 4 round in Colombo. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have been placed in the other group. The top two teams from the group stage advance to the Super 4 where they will play each other in a round-robin format. The top two teams will play in the final at the R Premadasa Stadium on September 18.
