Both players reunited at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where Pant is rehabilitating after he was involved in a car accident on Dec. 30, 2022.

The accident occurred on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway near Roorkee, Uttarakhand. Pant was driving his car when he fell asleep at the wheel and lost control. The car crashed into the divider and caught fire. Pant was able to get out of the burning car, but suffered multiple injuries, including cuts, bruises and torn ligaments in his knee.

Pant was taken to Dehradun Hospital where he underwent surgery. He was discharged from the hospital on Jan. 16, 2023. Since then, Pant has been recovering at home. He posts updates on his social media pages and expresses his gratitude for the support he has received from fans and well-wishers.

Pant has vowed to make a full recovery and return to cricket as soon as possible.
