A few months ago, he made his debut for India ‘A’ team in the Emerging Asia Cup where he piled up a ton.
Speaking about signing Sudharsan, Surrey head coach Alec Stewart said: With a busy schedule of international and domestic cricket around the world, I am delighted to add Sai Sudharsan to our squad of players.
Sai was highly recommended to me by people I have a lot of respect for, including some great Indian players who have seen and worked closely with him.
Sai will be added to the squad for the final three matches of the season and we look forward to welcoming him into the locker room, Stewart said in a statement.
Sudharsan will be available for matches against Warwickshire (home, Sept. 3), Northamptonshire (home, Sept. 19) and Hampshire (away, Sept. 26).
He will become the club’s second foreign player during this period after West Indies’ Kemar Roach.
Surrey currently top the Championship First Division points table, 17 points ahead of second-placed Essex.
