He is the true king of cricket. If he plays another five years, I don’t know how many records he’ll set — you never know, he said.

The win lifted Bangalore to fourth place in the table with 14 points and raised his playoff hopes, as the last league game against the already-qualified Gujarat Titans is yet to come.

RCB’s hope of reaching the semifinals is now alive. I hope they play in the semifinals and finals and win the title, Amir said.

The left-handed pacer praised Sunrisers Hyderabad player Heinrich Klassen, who scored a magnificent 104 points off 51 balls.

It was one of Klassen’s best pitches of his career. He deserved all the credit, Amir said.

Amir praised RCB’s starting pairing of Faf du Plessis and Virat Coly.

I think those two are incredible. Faf is the top scorer in the tournament and it looks like he will score over 800 this year in the IPL, he said.
