Virat Kohli had a great century win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, which was very important for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). This win kept RCB’s playoff chances alive.
This was the first game in IPL history in which centuries were scored on both sides. Kohli’s sixth hundred eclipsed Heinrich Klassen’s magnificent 104 goals (51).
What an innings from one and only true king @imVkohli, take a bow, Amir wrote on Twitter.
On his YouTube channel Inswing with Amir, he said that Virat Kohli is his favorite batsman in world cricket of this era and no one comes close to him.
There is no comparison between Virat and any other player of this generation. Virat’s achievements are unbelievable, Amir said.
He accomplished another feat today. This hundred was so special because it was a game RCB had to win, and he stepped up.
The hits he executed were incredible. We know about his class, and the big player will always step up when the going gets tough. He scored his first 100 in four years and sixth in tournament history.
He is the true king of cricket. If he plays another five years, I don’t know how many records he’ll set — you never know, he said.
The win lifted Bangalore to fourth place in the table with 14 points and raised his playoff hopes, as the last league game against the already-qualified Gujarat Titans is yet to come.
RCB’s hope of reaching the semifinals is now alive. I hope they play in the semifinals and finals and win the title, Amir said.
The left-handed pacer praised Sunrisers Hyderabad player Heinrich Klassen, who scored a magnificent 104 points off 51 balls.
It was one of Klassen’s best pitches of his career. He deserved all the credit, Amir said.
Amir praised RCB’s starting pairing of Faf du Plessis and Virat Coly.
I think those two are incredible. Faf is the top scorer in the tournament and it looks like he will score over 800 this year in the IPL, he said.
